# Sharepoint Integration Setup

# Phase 1: Create the Azure App Registration

1. Log in to the Microsoft Azure Portal and navigate to Microsoft Entra ID (formerly
   Azure Active Directory).
2. Click on App registrations in the left-hand menu, then select New registration.
3. Name: Enter a recognizable name (e.g., "Salesforce SharePoint Integration").
4. Supported account types: Select Accounts in any organizational directory (Any
Microsoft Entra ID tenant - Multitenant). (This ensures the generic /common login
endpoint works without throwing the AADSTS50194 error).
5. Redirect URI: Select Web from the dropdown menu, and paste your specific
   Salesforce callback URL (e.g.,
   [https://yoursalesforcedomainurl.my.salesforce.com/apex/SharePointOAuthCallback].
6. Click Register.

## Phase 2: Configure Permissions and Generate a Secret

1. On your newly created app's page, go to API permissions on the left menu.
2. Click Add a permission > Microsoft Graph.
3. Select Delegated permissions and check the boxes for Files.ReadWrite.All and
Sites.ReadWrite.All. Click Add permissions. (Note: Your Microsoft 365 administrator
may need to click "Grant admin consent" on this page if your organization requires it).
4. Navigate to Certificates & secrets on the left menu.
5. Click New client secret, give it a description, and choose an expiration timeframe.
   Click Add.
6. Immediately copy the Secret Value and save it somewhere secure. It will be hidden
if you navigate away from the page.
7.

## Phase 3: Gather Your Credentials

Before heading back to Salesforce, ensure you have these five specific pieces of information
ready to paste:
● Application (client) ID: Found on your Azure app's Overview page.
● Directory (tenant) ID: Found on your Azure app's Overview page.
● Client Secret: The secret Value you generated in Phase 2.
● Site Url: The base URL of your SharePoint Communication or Team site (e.g.,
[https://yourcompany.sharepoint.com]
● Folder Path: Usually /Shared Documents to route files into the site's default
document library.

   Salesforce.
2. Paste your Client ID, Client Secret, Tenant ID, Site Url, and Folder Path into their
   corresponding fields.
3. Click Save Configuration to store the credentials.
4. Navigate back to the main Connect SharePoint page.
5. Click Connect. You will be prompted to log in to your Microsoft account one last time
to authorize the app. Once accepted, your integration is fully connected and ready to
